Promoting neonatal equity & justice through collaboration
May 2024
PAS Event Wrap-Up
We loved connecting with you all at the PAS Neonatal Justice Collaborative (NJC) Meeting, Saturday, May 4, 2024. We announced our new NJC leaders, discussed upcoming events, and networked! Join a listserv and use it to communicate with international colleagues until our next in person reunion!
Mentors Needed
The NJC is building a Health Equity Leadership Scholars Program for post-graduate trainees (pediatric residents & neonatal fellows [PGY2+]) and neonatal nurse practitioner trainees (Masters or Doctorate students) to help mentor and build the next generation of diverse, neonatal health equity scholars, advocates, and changemakers. The aim of this program is to provide a multi-disciplinary curriculum on neonatal health equity and leadership competencies plus concurrent mentorship for career development and scholarship to multidisciplinary trainees entering the neonatal workforce. This will be a 2-year program with monthly virtual didactics and/or case simulations/discussions and will include in-person attendance at NJC-sponsored event at PAS and/or VON. The tentative start date for this program is Summer 2025.
We are seeking volunteers who are interested in serving as a career mentor, research/scholarly mentor, group facilitator, and/or content expert. If you are interested, please see the google form link here to sign-up or email Uche at uchenna.e.anani@vumc.org for more information. Thank you for your consideration!
